SPPU Percentage Conversion: Published Table or ×8.9?
Pune University sources need a course check before a number can be reported.

Which record does this guide cover?
The five-entry AICTE-course table and the separate ×8.9 sheet do not establish one universal SPPU method. The table preset intentionally rejects unlisted values. The multiplier preset requires confirmation that the sheet applies to your course; it is not a way to bypass a missing table entry.
The 2019 CBCS revised evaluation circular provides five specific table entries for Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy and other AICTE courses; no interpolation rule is stated in that table. The separate ×8.9 sheet does not identify programme coverage on its face, so use that preset only when your college confirms it applies. UGC humanities, science and commerce have separate grade-band rules and are not calculated here.
Read the published entries without interpolation
This table reproduces the reference points supported by the calculator. An unlisted grade-point value is not automatically authorised by a straight line fitted through the rows.
| Published index | Percentage |
|---|---|
| 6.25 | 55.00% |
| 6.75 | 60.00% |
| 7.25 | 65.00% |
| 7.75 | 70.00% |
| 8.25 | 75.00% |
Published table: 6.25→55%, 6.75→60%, 7.25→65%, 7.75→70%, 8.25→75%
Use the index name specified in the source. A convenient decimal approximation from another website is not a substitute for an examination-office instruction when your value is absent.
Compare the supported options before choosing
Different presets represent different scopes. The comparison below is an arithmetic illustration; it does not let you choose a rule on the basis of the higher result.
| Rule or scope | Example input | Example result |
|---|---|---|
| 2019 CBCS — AICTE-course published table | 7.25 | 65.00% |
| ×8.9 conversion sheet — confirm course applicability | 8.00 | 71.20% |
Use the calculator with your own record
- Identify the programme, regulation and relevant admission, completion or examination-session boundary.
- Read the official source linked below and select the matching preset.
- Enter actual obtained and maximum marks for a marks-based preset, or the final index on the scale requested.
- Check the displayed formula and label before saving the result.
Keep a usable report
Save the PDF with the original academic record when you need a portable calculation. Print report prepares the same calculation for paper; Download image produces a PNG. The source and scope are part of the report, so keep them visible when explaining the result.
Share opens a preview. It starts with the tool link; Include current result adds the entered values and calculation details. Review that preview before sharing. Website reports are independent calculations and do not replace certificates issued by the awarding institution.
Questions about this SPPU calculation
Can I interpolate between SPPU table rows?
The cited table does not state an interpolation rule. This tool uses only the published entries and asks you to obtain an applicable conversion for another value.
Can one semester’s GPA stand in for the final result?
Use the period and metric requested by the application. A semester average and a cumulative record can describe different courses; calculate a credit-weighted average only under the relevant academic rules.
