SGBAU B.Com Percentage: Check Actual Marks, Not a Multiplier
The grade report described in the direction already includes marks and percentage.

Which record does this guide cover?
For B.Com Accounting and Finance under Direction 57/2023, read the official percentage first. The calculator is an arithmetic check using actual totals; it does not derive marks from SGPA or CGPA. Preserve the programme name when saving the check.
This direction says the grade report shows obtained marks and percentage of total marks alongside SGPA and CGPA. Read that official percentage first. This tool checks total obtained÷maximum×100; it does not invent a CGPA multiplier or establish the rule for every SGBAU programme.
Worked example: combine the correct marks totals
Suppose the included examinations contribute 4,200 obtained marks out of a combined maximum of 6,000. Dividing the obtained total by the maximum and multiplying by 100 gives 70.00%. These are illustrative totals, not a claim about the marks structure of your programme.
| Included marks | Value |
|---|---|
| Obtained total | 4,200 |
| Maximum total | 6,000 |
| 4,200 ÷ 6,000 ×100 | 70.00% |
Percentage = total marks obtained ÷ total maximum marks × 100
If semester maximums differ, averaging semester percentages can change the answer. For example, 60/100 and 270/300 combine to 330/400 =82.50% (rather than the unweighted 75%); the same totals-based method should use the examinations your regulation actually includes.
Use the calculator with your own record
- Identify the programme, regulation and relevant admission, completion or examination-session boundary.
- Read the official source linked below and select the matching preset.
- Enter actual obtained and maximum marks for a marks-based preset, or the final index on the scale requested.
- Check the displayed formula and label before saving the result.
Keep a usable report
Save the PDF with the original academic record when you need a portable calculation. Print report prepares the same calculation for paper; Download image produces a PNG. The source and scope are part of the report, so keep them visible when explaining the result.
Share opens a preview. It starts with the tool link; Include current result adds the entered values and calculation details. Review that preview before sharing. Website reports are independent calculations and do not replace certificates issued by the awarding institution.
Questions about this SGBAU calculation
Why is there no SGBAU CGPA multiplier in this preset?
The cited direction describes obtained marks and percentage on the grade report. This tool checks those totals without inventing a reverse CGPA conversion.
Can one semester’s GPA stand in for the final result?
Use the period and metric requested by the application. A semester average and a cumulative record can describe different courses; calculate a credit-weighted average only under the relevant academic rules.
