IIIT Manipur CPI Percentage: Follow the IIITSM 2023 Regulation
IIIT Manipur calls its cumulative grade measure CPI. The IIITSM 2023 B.Tech ordinance gives an explicit numerical-percentage rule and distinguishes it from semester performance.

Official source and applicable academic record
Clause 1.1 says the B.Tech regulations take effect from academic year 2023–24. Clause 18.8 states multiplication of CPI by 10. A regulation’s effective academic year should not be silently rewritten as an admission-year range when the source does not say that.
Clause 18.8 of the IIITSM 2023 B.Tech ordinance specifies numerical percentage =CPI×10. Clause 1.1 makes the regulation effective from academic year 2023–24. This preset supports B.Tech records governed by that regulation; it does not assign an admission-year boundary or verify earlier schemes from the document title alone. Use the final cumulative performance index, not one semester’s SPI.
Worked example and common reporting mistakes
An 8.00 CPI gives a numerical equivalent of 80.00%. CPI covers the cumulative courses, while SPI covers a semester. A record with a transitional grade can also be provisional under the ordinance, so use the final updated cumulative record when reporting a completed degree result. A calculator cannot resolve an unfinished grade or certify completion.
| CPI | Equivalent percentage |
|---|---|
| 6.00 | 60.00% |
| 7.00 | 70.00% |
| 8.00 | 80.00% |
| 9.00 | 90.00% |
Numerical percentage = CPI × 10
How to use the calculator
- Check the institution name, programme, original cumulative value and governing regulation.
- Read the linked official source and select the applicable preset.
- Enter the recorded cumulative value without replacing it with a semester average.
- Review the result label and formula before exporting.
Download PDF, print, save an image or share
After a valid calculation, Download PDF saves the input, selected rule, result and official source. Print report prepares the calculation for paper. Download image creates a PNG with the calculation details. Keep the scope and any notional label attached to the result.
Share opens a preview with the calculator link by default. You can choose Include current result to add the calculation, then review it before sharing. These reports explain an independent calculation and do not replace an official transcript or institution-issued certificate.
Frequently asked questions
Can I replace final CPI with my highest semester SPI?
No. The conversion clause names CPI. SPI describes a single semester and would represent a different academic period.
Can a percentage conversion certify that I have passed?
No. Degree completion and passing status can depend on credits, individual courses and other requirements. Follow the original academic record and applicable regulation.
