Official source and supported scope

The institute’s notice dated 29 May 2025 links a certificate bearing 14 July 2015. These are different dates: the notice republishes access to the document, while the certificate contains the conversion statement. The table lists whole-number CGPAs from 4.00 through 10.00 with corresponding percentages from 40 through 100.

The inspected certificate dated 14 July 2015 is linked in the institute’s notice dated 29 May 2025. For placement, higher education, competitive examinations and similar conversion requirements it deems 10 CGPA to be 100% and publishes seven pairs: 4→40, 5→50, 6→60, 7→70, 8→80, 9→90, 10→100. This preset accepts only those published entries; no intermediate decimal value is inferred from the table.

Worked examples and common mistakes

For example, the published 8.00 entry gives 80%. A value such as 8.25 is absent from this table. Rather than assuming how to interpolate, this calculator asks for an applicable instruction for unlisted values. Keep your actual CGPA unchanged; do not round it to a listed entry merely to make the tool accept it.

Save PDF, print, download an image or share

A valid result enables Download PDF, Print report and Download image. The PDF and PNG retain the input, selected rule, result and source so you can explain the calculation later. The report is independent and does not replace a university-issued certificate.

Share opens a preview with the tool link by default. Choose Include current result if you want the calculation details added, and check the preview before sending it through your preferred app.

Questions about this conversion

Why does this tool reject 8.25 CGPA?

The checked certificate lists seven exact pairs. This preset does not assume interpolation. Obtain the applicable conversion instruction for an unlisted value instead of rounding your CGPA to fit the table.

Does the converted percentage reveal my exact subject marks?

No. A cumulative equivalent cannot reconstruct the exact marks for individual papers. Use the original transcript when actual marks are required.
