NIT Raipur M.Tech CPI Percentage: Read the Ordinance Contents
NIT Raipur’s M.Tech ordinance uses Cumulative Performance Index, or CPI, and a deduction before multiplication. Keep the input name and the regulation scope attached to the converted result.

Official source and supported scope
Appendix I point 4 gives (CPI−0.5)×10. The same appendix explains Semester Performance Index and Cumulative Performance Index separately. For an overall degree equivalent, use the final cumulative value rather than one term’s SPI.
Appendix I point 4 specifies Percentage =(CPI −0.5)×10. The downloaded document names M.Tech and states applicability from Spring 2022, with an update heading referring to Spring 2022–23 and the 47th Senate. Although the URL filename mentions 2024/53rd Senate, this page uses the inspected contents and does not infer a different effective batch from that filename. Other programmes are not verified here.
Worked examples and common mistakes
The official download filename and the headings inside the inspected file refer to different update years. The content states M.Tech applicability from Spring 2022 and an update heading referring to Spring 2022–23. Do not assign a 2024 admission boundary from the URL alone. If your record is governed by a different amendment, ask the examination office for the matching version.
| CPI | Equivalent percentage |
|---|---|
| 6.00 | 55.00% |
| 7.00 | 65.00% |
| 8.00 | 75.00% |
| 9.00 | 85.00% |
Percentage = (CPI − 0.5) × 10

Save PDF, print, download an image or share
A valid result enables Download PDF, Print report and Download image. The PDF and PNG retain the input, selected rule, result and source so you can explain the calculation later. The report is independent and does not replace a university-issued certificate.
Share opens a preview with the tool link by default. Choose Include current result if you want the calculation details added, and check the preview before sending it through your preferred app.
Questions about this conversion
Can I enter a semester SPI as the final CPI?
No. SPI describes one semester and CPI describes cumulative performance. The verified conversion statement names CPI, so use the relevant cumulative record.
Does the converted percentage reveal my exact subject marks?
No. A cumulative equivalent cannot reconstruct the exact marks for individual papers. Use the original transcript when actual marks are required.
